In honor of the visit I will be taking to go see my Nana tonight, I thought I would tell y'all a little bit about her.

First thing is: to limit confusion and because of a story she told us when we were little, I call my Mom's mom Nana and my dad's mom Grandma. The gist of the story is that a cousin of mine couldn't say "grandma" and could only get out "nananana" when he was little. Thus, "Nana" was born!

Secondly, not only do my parents and siblings play video games, but so does my Nana. For at least the last 30 years, my Nana has played an MMO called Dark Age of Camelot. She loves that game and has made many friends through her guild. In fact, when I talked to her about travel, she would offer up some of these friends that live in the various countries I wanted to visit, so that I could have someone to meet up with. She is well-loved in her guild, and they all treat her as the mother/grandmother of the guild. While I can't remember her exact username I believe it's something to the effect of the Gangster Granny.

Nana is also super sassy. Whenever she visited the family when the siblings and I were kids, she would always be able to stop squabbles in their place. We could be arguing in another room and as soon as our voices started to rise all she needed to do was call over "Y'all behaving?" and we would be after that. The last time she was able to visit us in person a couple years back, she was staying in my room, and while I was staying in my siblings' room, I would go to my actual room to game for a bit. One night I was playing a shooter game of some sort (maybe PUBG), and I ran out of ammo. In the heat of the moment I raised my voice a little and went "Oh no! I'm going to die! I'm out of bullets." My Nana, who was resting next to me on my bed, looked over and just quietly observed me. The next night, I went up to play for a bit and as I'm walking up the stairs my Nana calls "be sure not to run out of bullets this time." Both amusing and embarrassing.

All in all, I am so glad every time we are able to see each other in person and will always love my Nana!

Stay happy, healthy, and safe, my Jellybeans. I will see you next week!
