Some More Frank Thoughts

Last week, I gave my thoughts on the Frank sketch I posted as part of my hiatus posts. My thoughts on today's sketch is similar in that I can tell I improved since I drew all my Frank sketches that I am now sharing with you. These are all from almost two years ago (holy cow does time fly!) and part of the quality difference is that I was challenging myself to do a lot of them in a short time period ( I believe I did 30 of them in two days), and I wasn't at my A- game but I do think that these drawings, as simple and imperfect as they are, became so important for my development as an artist. These drawings remind me not only that Frank is a complex duck with many sides to him and interesting hobbies, but also that it's fun and useful drawing our little feathered friend. I hope you enjoy his nice stretch technique.
