Strange things bring me a surprising amount of joy. Of course, I get giddy every time I see cute little critters like puppies, kitties, bunnies, and my current favorite: Hedgehogs. I mean just look at this lil one. OuO.

I would like a handful please. /(=OwO=)\
But there are also things that draw me in inexplicably that others may not expect. As such I have two major collections of things that not many that I know of collect. The first some of you may know if you watch my streams on twitch (SpectorPepper), and that is masquerade masks. It started with simple quest for a Halloween outfit. I was going to use a mask my mom owned to be mother nature when I stumbled upon this pretty light green mask while in a craft store getting other art things. I also found another pretty mask right next to it, and although I had no use for it i couldn't decide between the two so I got both. This started my journey of collection masks. I bought some myself, but was also gifted a lot of them. Currently I own 16 masks (only 6 or 7 of them are conducive for long term streams, but I plan on wearing others for pre-recorded videos where my face's screen-time isn't as long.
The other thing I have a collection of is string-lights. It started with a Tinkerbell string-light set I have had for over 10 years (maybe even 15), and one day tiny Shinie got inspired. That set was nicely draped over my bookshelf, and I thought it would be neat if I had a set for each bookshelf. However some of my sets were also put up around my room, and my hunger to fill every ceiling edge with lights was growing. Now I have at least 14 pairs of string lights. Unfortunately I don't have enough spaces to place all these pairs into, but I have them in a special storage box so that when I move into my very own place, I will make use of all the pairs. Something about string-lights gives me child-like joy and calms me. It feels like I've been magicked away to a small little pocket of a new world, and that all my worries are far away.
