It's that time again where we make a point of showcasing to our mothers how much we love them. And this comic obviously has us drinking some hot beverages. So this leads all of you to demand answer to the question: what's in Shinie's mug. You're all dying to know, right?

Well, It's some nice ginger and lemon tea. This has been one of my favorite hot beverages for ages. It's actually what changed my opinion on tea (before I hated it because I had only tried iced tea and disliked that very much). The struggle was the blend was a Christmas one, so for many years we would only be able to resupply around the winter months. But last year, we decided to look at the ingredients and see if we could find another year-round tea with the same things and we did. The only main difference in taste is that the year-round version was more strongly lemon than ginger and it was the opposite for the Christmas one.

Now you are all probably begging for an answer to the question: so then am I tea drinker over coffee? I am so glad you are so curious as to my drinking preferences! Yes, I only drink tea and the occasional hot cocoa. I used to drink coffee once in a while, with plenty of sugar/ sweetness and milk in it (later it was oat milk instead of cow). But that all stopped when I started being deeply connected with my dear friend, anxiety. Suddenly, every time I had more than a taste of something caffeinated it would cause freakouts. And that's when I learned that caffeine would only make my pulse quicken without any other benefits. And just sitting there with a heart beating at the speed of light caused my brain to think that we were in danger. So many times after too much caffeine I would start to panic and not know why, which made me panic more. So, tea is a much better choice for me. Plus, I add honey, which is good for your immune system.

Thank you for reading my little spiel on my favorite drinks, and know that I appreciate you, my jellybeans! Stay happy, healthy and safe.
