The snow returned today, and as mentioned before I have a differing opinion on snow than most that live in snowy climates. I love it! I don't even mind the shoveling if it means it will snow longer! I of course would prefer not to shovel, but I just enjoy the visual so much. I assumed it wouldn't snow anymore until next fall/winter, especially with the world heating up in total. However, I'm pleased that my assumptions were wrong. As You know from my last two blogs, I had been trying the entire season to make a fun little snow sculpture, but given how busy I was and how quickly it melted, I couldn't build fast enough. However, I was able to make a tinier version of my vision that lasted in it's full glory for a few hours and mostly stayed up for a week or so. It's okay if you don't like snow, or don't care one way or another, this blog is not me trying to assimilate you into the snow-loving collective. I am merely hoping to pass along the simple joy of being unexpectedly reunited with something one loves and did not expect to experience again for a little while.

I am writing this next thought mostly to myself, but if it helps any of my readers, all the better! And yes, I may have written this exact thing in previous blogs, but it bears repeating. Don't feel bad or guilty or embarrassed for feeling overly passionate about something "trivial." It's a good thing to find a large amount of joy in small things, especially if you think about the fact that since it's small, if you add more of it you will be even more excited, and it's an easy way to be jovial. Others may roll their eyes, or tease you, or things of that nature, but remember that it may not always be for a malicious reason. They may just react negatively out of confusion and a lack of understanding. It's hard to understand how someone got to an emotion from a specific trigger that means very little to you personally.

I've alluded to this point when talking about holidays. I posted some comics making lighthearted fun at individuals that are intense about holidays, and have mentioned it in my blogs. Everything comes down to perspective, and it's easy to judge when you are only looking at something from your own perspective-- for example: "this person is crazy! They are obsessed with Halloween and are already prepping for it now, in July!!!" The thinker is coming to these conclusions because they obviously don't share the same attractions to the perks of Halloween (the spooky nature, dressing up, pumpkins, etc.). The fact that they don't like it is fine, just like the fact that the Halloween lover isn't wrong for loving it. As long as both aren't being assholes about their tastes, and their preferences aren't harming others, then the difference of opinions is fine.

I actually find a certain amount of differing opinions as fascinating. And honestly differing opinions sometimes create things that would otherwise not be thought of. So, just remember not to be an asshole, and you will be just fine! Enjoy your week and stay happy, healthy and safe, my jellybeans!
